Congratulations to Clive Elementary teachers Sharon Hart and Rachael Binder who were recently notified that they are the recipient of a Century Link Grant. Their grant proposal is titled “Inspiring Reluctant Readers Using the Nook Tablet”. They will be receive a check for $3,000 at the April 27th luncheon at Iowa Association of School Boards. They are planning on purchasing six Nook Tablets, accessories, and ebooks.

I grew up in Iowa, and am forever grateful for the importance Iowans place on education. My basic education there has kept me in pace with many college grads, even though I am not one. Thanks to you both, Sharon and Rachael, for carrying the torch of excellence to your Iowa school system.
