Need help re-imaging your teacher laptop?

teacher laptop courseDo you wish your teacher laptop ran as fast as it did the day you first got it?

We can make that happen.   It only takes about an hour to restore your laptop back to its original status, but we need you present in order to make sure all the drives/printers are setup correctly.   Just stop in during one of our walk-in tech help days and we’ll help re-image your laptop to make it like new.

Q1.  If I stop by with my laptop – can someone help walk me through getting it back to its original status?
A1.  Absolutely…  it only takes about an hour and we’ll need you and your laptop.

Q2. But I have my kids with me during the summer… I don’t really want to get a baby sitter for an hour, what can I do?
Q2. Folks, we work for a school district, we’re not afraid of children… bring them with you.

Q3. What dates/times are available? Do I have to make a reservation?
No reservation is needed – just stop by during any of these time slots to the training room at the Operations Building (2102 Delavan Drive, WDM).  It should only take about one hour.

Tuesday, July 2nd: 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Thursday, July 11th:  8:30am – 12:00noon  or between 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Wednesday, July 17th: 8:30am – 12:00noon or between 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Tuesday, July 30th: 8:30am – 12:00noon or between 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Q4.  About how long will it take?
A4. About an hour

Q5. Can I just drop it off and pick it up later?
A5. No.  We need you and your laptop… we’re expecting enough people that we’ll be there to guide you through the process without having to read pages of step by step instructions.

Q6.  Will I need to backup my files before we reimage the laptop?
A6.  Yes… its best that you start backing up your files before coming in.

Q7.  Why not just replace the teacher laptops? Wouldn’t that be easier – we’re due for replacement anyway, right?
A7.  Our teacher laptops aren’t even 3 years old yet – so they aren’t quite to replacement age, but we will be evaluating options later this year.
