STUCAMP to held Jan 30th

Join hundreds of students across Iowa to change what school looks like in Webster City and Bettendorf on January 30th, 2016. Sign up today at StuCamp.org!   Why have StuCamp? StuCamp’s primary focus is to give voice to our students and to turn that voice into action. We believe we can produce grassroots reform at the classroom level. Every attendee should walk away at the end of the day asking, “What am I going to do on Monday?” based on their interactions. How is StuCamp going to work? We are asking that teachers target students who want to make a change and share this event with them. Once at your StuCamp, students will connect and network with other students about topics they’re passionate about. These topics may not necessarily be directly related to education and school, and that is certainly okay. What is StuCamp? StuCamp is an unconference for students that follows the EdCamp model. EdCamps are unconferences where all of the facilitated sessions are planned that morning. There are no presentations, no PowerPoints, and no hand outs. Each session is a conversation where every student’s voice is important and new ideas can be formed and followed. Where is StuCamp? PrintGroove Issues…

Now that you are back, many of you are experiencing printing issues when using Printgroove.  Hopefully, this email will help resolve many of your questions.

First of all . . .

Use Firefox and Firefox only.  It will not work in Chrome and it will not work in Internet Explorer.

 .

Secondly . . .

The version of Java on your pc may be not playing nice.  In fact, some of you may be prompted to update your Java once you successfully log into Printgroove in your Firefox browser.  If that happens, update it.

Once you update Java, it still may not be playing nice since Printgroove doesn’t want the Java security set so high.  So you’ll need to dumb down your Java security.  There is a handy dandy handout in the K:\PrintShop folder titledPrintgroove New Java Security Settings that will help you with those steps.

And lastly . . .

 

With the recent update to Internet Explorer, thePrintgroove driver no longer works.  Not on your laptop and not on a desktop.  So the only way to upload documents for printing to the Print Shop via Printgroove, is to go to http://printshop.wdmcs.org and upload that way.

When is Printgroove going away?
It’s replacement is being worked on, but we’ve heard that it will be later this fall before the replacement is ready.
