Printing Over the Summer? Submit Projects Today!

It’s that time of year again to start thinking about what you need printed for the beginning of the 2014-15 school year. If you have items that you want printed over the summer, please start sending those items (hardcopy/paper) into the Print Shop now.

• Fill out the print order form from your school
• Please put “Summer Print” for the date needed

For those using Printgroove:

• If you put a date needed as August, we will print as long as you have money in your account
• Otherwise, you will need to wait until the new budget year
• You can also send a hardcopy/paper document and the Print Shop will put into the system for you

The Print Shop will first use the money left in your Printgroove budget from this year.

EdCampDSM is coming to Crestview Elementary on Sept 20th, 2014!

Saturday, Sept 20th, 2014  EdCamp is coming to Des Moines – and specifically to Crestview Elementary.

What is EdCamp? It’s a free event where educators gather to share and collaborate on topics of their choosing.  There are no official presenters/guest speakers.  Instead, the group creates a schedule of interested topics the morning of the event.  Read more at:  http://www.edutopia.org/blog/why-edcamp-kristen-swanson

Why is this happening at Crestview? The organizers of EdCamp Des Moines used Crestview Elementary last year – and found that the location worked very well and they would like to use the facility again.  Several Crestview and district staff stepped up to offer Crestview as a potential site last year and they were on site to help manage the event last year and will do so again this year.
