3 sessions of teacher laptop course being offered this summer

3 sessions of the teacher laptop course are being offered this summer.

It’s a 15 hour professional development course that is open to any certified staff as well as any supervisor/specialist. The course can be taken for either PD credit (teacher license renewal) or Drake University credit.

During the course, you’ll receive an HP laptop and hands-on training for how to image, setup and manage your laptop. You’ll also receive training on applications such as Office and Skype. Staff are full administrators of their devices – meaning they can decide what software to install on their device, as well as select the network drives and printers that they need. Currently, about 70% of our staff have taken the course – and based on this, we anticipate that three additional sections over the summer should address the remaining need.
